Бесплатный файловый менеджер с открытым исходным кодом и консольным интерфейсом в стиле Norton Commander, работающий под Windows. Отличается очень небольшим потреблением ресурсов и шустрой работой.
FarManager значительно ускоряет действия по перемещению, копированию и другим операциям над файлами, так как все действия выполняются парой нажатий клавиш. Основные клавиатурные комбинации остались неизменными со времён Norton Commander: выбор диска в левой и правой панелях осуществляется комбинациями Alt+F1/Alt+F2, просмотр файла - F3, редактирование файла - F4, копирование - F5, перемещение - F6, создание директории - F7, удаление - F8. Переход с одной панели на другую - Tab.
На экране под панелями присутствует командная строка, что позволяет в любой момент давать команды (например, ввести команду "svn up" наверняка окажется быстрее, чем поиск нужной папки в Windows Explorer, затем правый клик по папке и выбор нужного пункта меню TortoiseSVN).
В стандартный комплект FarManager входит возможность работы с сетевыми шарами Windows и FTP. Есть менеджер процессов, который выводит список работающих процессов и даёт возможность получать подробную информацию по каждому процессу, а также останавливать процессы.
FarManager расширяется многочисленными плагинами: плагин WinSCP добавляет поддержку SFTP/SSH, плагин 7-Zip позволяет работать с распространёнными типами архивов (zip, rar, tar, gzip, bzip2, 7z), и так далее. Есть и несколько плагинов-игр, включая "Тетрис" (куда же без него в текстовой консоли :)).
Сам FarManager предоставляет большое число параметров конфигурации, которыми можно настрить файловый менеджер на свой вкус. Стандартная цветовая схема (сине-голубая) может быть изменена на более приятную для вас лично.
Встроенный текстовый редактор поддерживает большой набор кодировок текста, что демонстрирует скриншот.
В умелых руках FarManager (впрочем, как и его предшественники - Нортон Коммандер, Волков Коммандер, Дос навигатор..) позволяет выполнять действия над файлами во много раз быстрее, чем если бы вы пытались сделать то же самое стандартными средствами Windows. Надо лишь запомнить несколько главных комбинаций клавиш и вы сами удивитесь, как легко станет работать!
