Отдельно стоит отметить минималистичный подход к интерфейсу пользователя foobar2000. В комплекте с самим foobar2000 нет никаких скинов, надстроек и приятных украшений. Интерфейс программы весьма ограничен и неудобен. Все вышеуказанное добавляют плееру различные плагины и сборки, преображая внешний вид плеера и добавляя удобные функции.
Однако, без установки в сборке с дополнительными плагинами, foobar2000 однозначно и безоговорочно проигрывает тому же Winamp в стандартной комплектации, и, наверняка, большинству других аудио плееров именно из-за своей крайне низкой юзабилити "из коробки".
