Warsow - бесплатный многопользовательский 3D-шутер от первого лица. Аналог широко известных игр: Quake, Unreal Tournament и им подобных. Отличается от аналогичных игр своим оформлением: красивая, мультяшная графика с такими персонажами, как киберпанки, боевые свиньи и роботы.
Набор оружия не уступает аналогичным играм. Имеется 9 видов оружия разного действия.
Кроме стандартных движений игроку доступно отпрыгивание от стен (walljump), и уклонение.
Доступны несколько режимов игры, включая как "стандартные", так и уникальные, которые есть только в Warsow:
- Deathmatch (DM) - каждый за себя.
- Free For All (FFA) - то же, что и DM, оружие есть сразу после респауна.
- Duel - сражение один на один.
- Team Deathmatch (TDM) - команды зарабатывают фраги.
- Capture The Flag (CTF) - команды крадут друг у друга флажки.
- Race - пробежать как можно скорее по карте.
- Instagib - игрокам даётся оружие, убивающее с большого расстояния с одного выстрела, но долго перезаряжающееся. Другого оружия нет.
- Clan arena - сражение команд; на карте нет ресурсов, убитые не воскресают до конца раунда.
- Bomb & Defuse - одна команда закладывает бомбочку, другая пытается её обезвредить.
- Team Domination - необходимо удерживать 2 или 3 контрольные точки на карте.
- Headhunt - первый игрок, в которого выстрелили, становится помеченным. За меченным игроком охотятся остальные.
- Duel arena - в начале игрокам даётся всё оружие. На карте нет никаких итемов.
- CTF Tactics - то же, что и CTF, но игроки делятся по классам. Каждый класс выполняет свою задачу.
